I’ve learned countless lessons from them both — about taking risks, having fun, looking deeply, taking meticulous care, and finding the magic in every moment.
From them I learned to obsess about the placement of a single cilantro leaf on a bowl of stew, or the angle of a flower petal in a geometric design. I’ve learned to read the light better, to work with shadow, to see the whole frame.
Here’s my public service announcement about photography and content marketing: Don’t cheap out on the art. Find great visual partners and keep them close. Bring them chocolate. Tell them you love them, often.
